Twolacqueredgirls.com reviews: Own Lifting Eye Cream #ownifabbo

(These products were sent to me for my honest opinion)

I’m not sure if I ever shared with you that I have a really REALLY REALLY bad problem with dark circles all around my eyes! I have under eyes dark circles and over eye dark circles. It has to do with my genes also but work, home life and lack of sleeping well on some nights leaves me looking like a zombie some days. I’m always on the hunt for “all natural” eye creams to help me out! I’m super picky about what goes on my face since I have sensitive skin and I can break out in a red rash.

So I hate to have cover up my dark circles with make-up. It NEVER looks natural and it just plain looks like I’m covered in clown make-up. So I was really excited when iFabbo sent me an email that I was going to be receiving a sample of Own Skin Health’s Lifting Eye Cream. I wasn’t really sure if a lifting eye cream was going to help me but I wanted to test it out to see what results I would see.

Own’s Lifting Eye Cream has a light weird plant smell and is velvety soft. I started to use this eye cream about four weeks ago, so my review can only go so far because I don’t believe that you can see the results that Own claims/makes on this product since it says that results from 8 to 12 weeks of use.  However I will review the results that I have gotten within the past four weeks of daily use and I will report back four to six weeks later.

As soon as I dabbed the eye cream around my eyes and blend in, it stings somewhat and then that sensation stops as soon as the cream is fully absorbed, try not to get any in your eyes because you will start tearing and it is really bothersome. I really love the texture of this eye cream, it’s light, creamy and oh so smooth.

Own states that:

Own Anti-Aging contains patetented CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) plant-based technology designed to work with your body’s unique biochemistry and three main layers of skin. Throughout our innovative formulations, Own Anti-Aging products enhance collagen levels, strength the skin barrier to retain more moisture and, most importantly, increase the skin’s metabolism for softer, smoother, and genuinely younger-looking skin.

In as early as 8 weeks, Own Anti-Aging products have been clinically proven to:

Boost collagen for firmer and fuller-looking skin.

Enhance cell turnover for a more even skin tone.

Improver skin’s moisture barrier for softer and smoother skin.

In just 8 weeks, results showed a 61% reduction in the appearance of crow’s feet.

In just 8 weeks, results showed over a 30% decrease in the appearance of wrinkles around the eye area.

In just 8 weeks, 83% of women reported their skin more moisturized and silky soft to the touch.

CLA Formulation:

Retinol-free formula

No irritation, redness or flakiness

Fragrance free

Paraben and sulfate-free

Non-greasy and light (90% of women agree)

After using the cream twice a day for four weeks I can tell you that:

*The eye cream helped hydrate, refresh and revive my tired looking eyes.

*The eye cream helped diminish the appearance of my under-eye bags and my dark circles were less visible because the cream seemed to have brightened my skin.

* The cream does help with puffiness. One night I cried and I thought: This is perfect to test this eye cream out! Haha who thinks like that?? A good blogger does! I put the eye cream on one eye and not on the other to see if the cream would help with the swelling that happens to the lid when you cry; and it was a lot less swollen the next day when I woke up than the eye that had no cream. So the ability of the eye cream to help with the swelling of the eye lid  is a huge plus.

As for the company’s claims and their stats:

Boost collagen for firmer and fuller-looking skin.

Enhance cell turnover for a more even skin tone.

Improver skin’s moisture barrier for softer and smoother skin.

*The skin around my eye doesn’t seem firmer or fuller-looking.

*I can’t see a change in the pigmentation of the skin around my eyes but the skin does seem brighter.

* My skin is softer after using the eye cream for four weeks so far.

*Since I have been using the cream for four weeks I have not seen a difference in the appearance of crow’s feet since my “crow’s feet” aren’t long or deep.

*Since I have been using the cream for four weeks I have not seen a difference in the appearance of the creases on the on my lower eye lids.

*Since I have been using the cream for four weeks I have noticed a difference in the softness on my eye lids and lower eye lids.

*NOTE: I’m only 24 so it’s not like I have super deep crow’s feet or wrinkles to get rid off, but I hope that with the use of this cream I am helping to prevent getting them. Also, after studying accounting and taking different levels of math and stat courses, I never trust companies that are trying to sell you a product that uses “stats” to do so, since those percentages can be easily manipulated in their favor. That’s one of the reasons why I like to read reviews from trusted bloggers and I hope that is what you expect from me too.

Ok so I will report back in 4 to 6 weeks with more results.

**Own also has a cool app that you can download to track your skin’s improvement. I’ll have mine up for you when I have finished testing.
